Dear Advisors,



The Central Region Area Officers and Region Staff would like to invite you
and your chapter to the 5th Annual Region FFA Rally on Tuesday, September 15
th at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley, GA.



The Region Rally will be a great leadership opportunity for your FFA
chapter and we hope you will plan to attend.  FFA members will participate
in leadership activities with their area as well as individual and chapter
competitions.

Such as:  Ag Mechanics Relay

                Lumberjack Relay Race

                Sling Shot Challenge

                Low Ropes Obstacle Course

                ID Contests - Forestry, Animal Science, Horticulture, & Ag
Mechanics

                Opening Ceremony Contest

                Advisor Challenge and MORE!



Chapters will also have free time to enjoy the pool and slip n slide as
well as canoes and kayaks so please bring a swimsuit and towel for the
day.  Basketball, Volleyball, and Corn Hole will also be open during free
time.  All students will need to complete a medical release form for the
camp as well.




Registration for the Rally will be $20 registration which includes lunch
Tuesday and a region rally t-shirt or students can pay $10 for registration
without a shirt.



Rules for the different events are listed below.  For those chapters that
will need lodging Friday night, it will be $18 per person with breakfast,
this will not include linens.

2015 Central Region Rally Registration
The Central Region Area Officers and Region Staff would like to invite you
and your chapter to the 5th Annual Region FFA Rally on Tuesday, September
15th at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley, GA.
The Region Rally will be a great leadership opportunity for your FFA
chapter and we hope you will plan to attend. FFA members will participate
in leadership activities with their area as well as individual and chapter
competitions. This is also a great chapter recruitment activity and a great
way to get to know the Area FFA Officer teams.


Registration will be from 9:15AM - 9:45AM on Tuesday, Sept 15th. Event will
conclude around 4:00pm. Deadline to register is Friday, Sept 4th.

   Area Chapter Rally Challenge
   10 points will be awarded to the highest scoring chapter in each event.,
   7 points will be awarded to the second highest scoring chapter in each
   event, 4 points will be awarded to the third highest scoring chapter in
   each event. The total points will be added up and the chapter with the
   highest points will be named “Area Rally Winner”. One plaque will be
   awarded per area for middle school and for high school.
   Will you be participating in the SLING SHOT CHALLENGE? *
   1. Each chapter is limited to 5 persons for this event. 2. Participant
   will be given wet balls/ water balloons to use. 3.Three participants must
   use a large sling shot to shoot the objects. 4. Two participants must catch
   the objects in a predetermined object.

   Will you be participating in the LUMBERJACK RACE? *
   1. Each chapter is limited to 4 persons (2 females and 2 males) for this
   event. 2.The event will start with a male and female operating a two man
   crosscut saw. 3.The other male and female will use a cant hook to roll a
   log through a course. 4.All 4 team members together will carry a log using
   tongs through a course. 5.Fastest total team time for all 3 parts will
   determined the winner. 6.Open toe shoes are not allowed for this event

   Will you be participating in the LOW ROPES OBSTACLE COURSE? *
   1. Each chapter can have 5 participants for this event. 2. This is a
   timed event that will measure the amount of time it takes your team to run
   a pre-determined obstacle course. 3.Fastest total team time for all parts
   of the course will determine the winner. 4. Open toed shoes are not allowed
   for this event.

   Will be participating in the Ag Mechanics Relay? *
   Each chapter can have up to 4 participants for this event. This is a
   timed relay with four competitive (for time) events. (Each event may
   include - driving a nail, screwing drywall screws in using a screwdriver,
   installing/removing lock nuts from a bolt, etc...) The team with the
   fastest recorded time will be determined the winner. Safety glasses will be
   required during this event. (They will be provided or you can bring your
   own.)

   Will you be participating in the FFA Opening Ceremony Contest? *
   1.The official FFA Ceremony will be used with the six constitutional
   officer positions. (no additional officer parts will be scored). 2.Officers
   must be in official dress to compete. 3.Advisors are not required to
   participate, but are encouraged to take part. The Advisor’s part will not
   be scored. If the advisor is not present, a judge will do the advisors part
   in the ceremony. 4. Participants are not required to hold the actual
   position in which they are competing, but it is recommended to use the
   official chapter officers for this competition. 5. Scoring will be based on
   a rubric measuring each officer’s voice, stage presence, and power of
   expression. The team will also receive a score for general effect. Chapter
   will be assigned a time to compete which will be given to them during
   registration.

   Will you be participating in the Individual Id- Forestry, Animal
   Science, Ag Mech, and Horticulture ID? *
   1. One student from each chapter may participate in each of the 4 areas.
   (4 people total). 2. Each event will consist of 25 pictures or actual items
   for the students to properly identify. 3.This is 4 separate events. 4.The
   student with the highest number correct will be named the winner.
