Happy Friday to all. I’ve got a couple of items for you this week:
· The application for the 2016 Natural Resources Conservation Workshop (NRCW) is included and is also on this link: http://www.abac.edu/academics/schools/ag-natural-resources/outreach/nrcw
If you are unfamiliar with this workshop, please read the web page listed. It is a great opportunity for rising 10th through 12th grade students and focuses on the value, protection, and conservation of Georgia’s wildlife, forestry, soil, and water resources, including conservation in Georgia’s mining industry. Sponsorships may be available for the tuition but the application needs to be completed and signed as soon as possible in order to be eligible for the tuition to be covered by your soil and water conservation district as they generally have a maximum number for which they can provide tuition.
· The National Center for Appropriate Technology is now offering an online Managed Grazing Tutorial; see the attached email announcement. If you’ve not viewed their website, take a look when you have a moment. You can sign up for their weekly e-newsletter; there is a wealth of information as well as funding/grant/learning opportunities that you will be able to use. www.attra.ncat.org is the web address.
Here is to hoping for a productive (and/or relaxing depending on your point of view J) and warmer weekend!
