Before you leave school for the summer, please take time to think about
getting next year started on the right track with Chapter Officer Leadership
Training 2016. COLT is a great way to provide quality training for your
local officers and jump start their year of service.

This year, COLT is available at the FFA-FCCLA Camp in Covington, facilitated
by professional speaker, Ms. Patty Hendrickson, and at Camp John Hope in
Fort Valley, facilitated by professional speaker, Mr. Patrick Grady. In
addition, members from the 2016-2017 State FFA Officer team will be at both
locations. Teams will be encouraged to set goals, interact with other
chapters to gain new ideas, and work with advisors to plan their Program of
Activities. Officers will also be empowered to take on their role as chapter
leaders and bond together as a team.  This summer, we are offering two,
3-day, “retreat style” COLT Conferences in July that are open to any
chapter in the state.

COLT - BLUE (FFA-FCCLA Camp and Camp John Hope)

July 11-13, 2016

Price: $80 - Includes lodging Monday and Tuesday night, meals (Monday lunch
through Wednesday breakfast), and conference materials (t-shirt, official
FFA manual, etc.)

Early Registration option: $95----Includes everything listed above plus
Sunday lodging and Monday breakfast. This option is a great way to get in
some extra team time!

COLT - GOLD (FFA-FCCLA Camp and Camp John Hope)

July 13-15, 2016

Price: $80 - Includes lodging Wednesday and Thursday night, meals (Wednesday
lunch through Friday breakfast), and conference materials (t-shirt, official
FFA manual, etc.)

Early registration is not available for GOLD.

Both sessions will offer similar content and activities. See the attached
tentative schedule to learn more. Everyone in attendance should bring the
following items:

●Medical Authorization/ Conduct Form

●Linens, pillows, towels, personal articles

●Close-toe shoes

●Appropriate casual clothing

●Appropriate clothing for water activities, mud course, and/or recreation

●Calendar/planner and other chapter materials needed for team time

●Official FFA Dress

Registration and full payment are due June 17, 2016.

In an effort to offer quality conferences, each conference location will
have a maximum number of seats available. Each session of COLT at the
FFA-FCCLA Camp in Covington will have 200 seats available, and each session
of COLT at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley will have 150 seats available.
Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. No
refunds will be issued. There will be no lodging/meals cost for non-advisor
chaperones. Chapters are encouraged to bring a chaperone for each gender and
have a ratio of one adult per 10 students. As always, there is no cost for
bus drivers. T-shirts for bus drivers and chaperones are $10 each.

Again this year, we will host an Opening Ceremonies contest. A middle school
and high school winner will be selected. Chapters are not required to
participate. More information will be available to chapters that register
for COLT.

Chapter Officer Leadership Training is a great opportunity for you and your
chapter officers to come together and plan a successful year for your FFA
