For those of you considering a UGA Exchange Program for Spring 2017, now is the perfect time to learn about and plan for an upcoming program!

Exchange placements may be available for UGA partner institutions in Australia, Austria, Brazil, China & Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Ghana, Germany, Korea, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan & the United Kingdom

Costs and Financial Aid: Exchange Program Fee: ($5,817 for Spring 2017), which is equivalent to UGA in-state tuition/fees; additional expenses include airfare, meals & accommodation expenses at Host University, study abroad insurance, and other personal expenses. HOPE, Zell Miller, and other Financial Aid may be used on ALL UGA exchange programs. Additional scholarships are available.

Have you or are you currently studying abroad in Germany? Consider becoming a DAAD Young Ambassador!

DAAD Young Ambassadors help to promote studying abroad in Germany on their home campuses while collaborating with DAAD's home office as well as their home institution's study abroad office. Young Ambassadors are responsible for organizing at least one event per semester. Learn more here.<>

IIE is pleased to announce, in partnership with The New York Times in Education, the 2016 Generation Study Abroad Voices Challenge. By hearing and seeing study abroad alumni articulate the value of their study abroad experience, we hope to inspire Generation Z and others to seek out an international experience as part of their college education. Study abroad returnees are encouraged to submit digital story submissions between 0:30 seconds and 2 minutes long that demonstrate how study abroad gave them an edge, the impact it had on their personal or professional life and the world, and how The New York Times content helped them navigate, enhance or make sense of their experience. Winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize, an iPad, a trip to the IIE Summit on Generation Study Abroad in Washington, D.C. and a video spotlight on The New York Times in Education website. Winners will also be recognized as a Generation Study Abroad Voice.

The 2017-2018 Fulbright competition opened March 31, 2016 and the UGA campus deadline is September 7, 2016. Fulbright grants can be used for year-long independent research, study, creative pursuits, or an English Teaching Assistantship abroad. The competition is open to U.S. citizens who will have, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree completed by Summer 2017.

Summer Opportunities

The second annual Summer Institute on Conflict Transformation Across Borders will take place from June 5-24, 2016 in Quito, Ecuador at FLACSO, with graduate-level credit issued by UMass Boston. After a very successful debut last year, Clubes de Ciencia Colombia will hold its second session this summer from June 20-25, 2016, in 6 different cities in Colombia. We are calling for graduate students, postdocs, experienced professionals, and entrepreneurs in STEM fields to join as instructors for the program.

UCL International Summer School for Undergraduates

In July 2016, UCL will welcome students onto its first ever International Summer School for Undergraduates<>. This exciting programme will give students the chance to study in the heart of London for three or six weeks and gain credit towards their degree programme while experiencing a summer in one of the world's most dynamic capital cities.There are 36 modules offered in the following subject areas: Engineering, Life Sciences, Social & Historical Sciences, Entrepreneurship & Management, Arts & Humanities, Epidemiology & Public Health, Education, Architecture & the Built Environment, and Brain Sciences. 2016 Student Ambassadors Program
The Student Ambassadors Program, sponsored by the Embassy of Spain-Trade Commission, is excited to announce their 2016 initiative. In Beijing and Shanghai, the Alliance for Global Education's internships are designed to accommodate a variety of language levels and academic or professional interests, though placements may vary according to each student's Chinese language proficiency. Placements may include Chinese or foreign-owned companies, NGOs, research and government organizations, or media and art studios. Internships are available as a 3-credit elective course as part of a 15-credit semester for the above programs.

A joint program between the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Rothberg International School (RIS). Dance Jerusalem allows a student to train in the areas of Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance (including Ohad Naharin's Gaga), Choreography, Repertoire, and Improvisation. Students create, rehearse, and perform works with outstanding Israeli composers and choreographers.

Up to $5,000 available. Internships in East or Southeast Asia. Must be for academic credit. Apply here<>. Currently enrolled UGA undergraduate or graduate students are eligible. Internships MUST last for a minimum of 4 weeks and MUST earn academic credit. Preference is given to students traveling to Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, but scholarships may be considered for students interning in other countries within Asia, as well. You MUST be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Each student may only submit one application.

Rotary Peace Fellowship

Up to 100 fellows are selected every year in a globally competitive process based on personal, academic, and professional achievements. Fellows earn either a master's degree or a professional development certificate in peace and conflict studies at one of the Rotary Peace Centers, located within several leading universities around the world. The nearly 1,000 program alumni are working in over 100 countries as leaders in national governments, NGOs, the military, law enforcement, and international organizations such as the United nations and World Bank.
