Area Meats Evaluation CDE's for 2016

Registration: 4 PM     Contest Starts:  4:30 PM

Area 4:  Toombs County High School Ag. Center - Tuesday, September 27th
Area 3:  Camp John Hope - Thursday, September 29th

Senior Students:  25 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes, AND
Quality and Yield Grade Exercise 
     Students will have 1-3 ribeyes to Quality and Yield Grade using help sheets
     Students will have the Quality Grading Help Sheet, and be given Maturity, KPH and Hot Carcass weight.
     They will be required to know the Yield Grade Formula, the 5 Yield Grades, judge Marbling and Backfat. 

Junior Students:  20 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes

NEW FOR 2016:  A team will consist of 3 members only.  All three scores count.

T-shirts are available:  Proof is attached.  Cost:  $10, Deadline for T-shirts is Tuesday, September 13th
