Education Abroad 101
This information session is the first step in applying to study abroad. Learn more about UGA's programs, requirements, application process, etc. Education Abroad 101 is offered regularly each week throughout the semester. Attend a session before making an advising
appointment with an Education Abroad Advisor.

Group Advising: Financial Aid and TCAFs
This session is geared towards students planning an upcoming term abroad, but all students are welcome to learn about financial aid, scholarships, and transfer credit in more detail. We will also be workshopping the Transfer Credit Approval Form (TCAF) for
students attending UGA Exchange and Non-UGA programs.

Peace Corps Prep Certificate
The University of Georgia and the Peace Corps Prep Program would like to announce a new program which will let you build the knowledge and acquire the skills necessary to join and serve in your preferred program area of the Peace Corps. Study abroad or exchange
experiences can help students qualify for the certificate! More information can be found

Ghana, Germany, Korea, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan & the United Kingdom
Search for Exchange Programs
Costs and Financial Aid: Exchange Program Fee: ($5,817 for Spring 2017), which is equivalent to UGA in-state tuition/fees; additional expenses
include airfare, meals & accommodation expenses at Host University, study abroad insurance, and other personal expenses. HOPE, Zell Miller, and other Financial Aid may be used on ALL UGA exchange programs. Additional scholarships are available.
To apply: The UGA Exchange Application (outbound) is available on UGA's GoAbroad Portal. Contact OIE and/or the faculty director to schedule a mandatory advising appointment.
Academic Areas: While one exchange, students take regular courses offered by the host university. Programs offer a variety of subjects suitable for a wide range of majors.

This week we are spotlighting an exchange at:
The University of Auckland in New Zealand.
The University of Auckland is the largest university in New Zealand, hosting over 40,000 students on five Auckland campuses, with a School of Theology, and eight faculties representing each of its main disciplines: Arts, Business and Economics, Creative
Arts and Industries, Education, Engineering, Law, Medical and Health Sciences, and Science. Almost all teaching staff engage in research which attempts to advance the frontiers of knowledge and understanding, and around 5000 students are enrolled for postgraduate
studies, 1200 of whom are undertaking doctorates. The University has continued to improve its facilities, with a new information and student commons complex already complete on the City Campus; new teaching and research spaces at Tamaki Innovation Campus;
and a new state-of-the-art home for the Business School recently completed.
Subject options include Maori Studies, Economics, Philosophy, History, Pacific Studies, Anthropology, Politics and International Relations, Geography, and Media, Film and Television
