You only have 4 days left to register for the 2016 FFA Day at the Fair program. ONLINE REGISTRATION: 2016 FFA DAY AT THE FAIR

 

 

The Georgia FFA Association is proud to offer a wonderful opportunity for ALL agriculture students. The 2016 FFA Day at the Fair Program will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, in Reaves Arena at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in conjunction with the Georgia National Fair in Perry. This activity targets agricultural education students and FFA members and is designed to offer an interactive look at what agricultural education and the FFA have to offer.

 

There are two registration types this year:

1.) Standard Blue registration is $10.00 per student and is the basic level registration for the FFA Day at the fair Program.

2.) Gold Plus registration is $15.00 per student and includes the Annual State FFA T-shirt.

 

The FFA Day at the Fair program has a few new additions this year! Three contests will take place in correlation to the program, which include:

               1.) State FFA T-shirt Design Competition (for members/chapters)  (VOTING IS ALREADY IN PROGRESS)

               2.) State Photo Competition (for members/chapters)

               3.) Fill the Seats Award & Drawing (for advisors)

The FFA day program also has a new schedule. Registration will open at 8:45 a.m. and stay open through 10:30 a.m. During that registration time frame, the North Corridor of Reaves arena will be filled with interactive booths created by our Georgia FFA Area Officers, as well as booths sponsored by the FFA Foundation, Alumni, and Camps. Once students check in through registration, they are free to walk through the North Corridor booths. At 10:15a.m., the seating will open in Reaves Arena and pre-session will begin shortly after. The motivational program begins at 10:45 a.m. and will conclude just after noon.

 

The motivational program presented by the 2016-2017 Georgia FFA Area Officers includes a special message from the National Officer team, Creed presentation, awards for the State T-shirt Design competition, Photo competition, Fill the Seats drawing and award, and a humorous keynote from the 2012-2013 National FFA Southern Region Vice President, Wiley Bailey.

 

Additionally, ride armbands can be purchased for $16 each before the registration deadline. If not pre-purchased, armbands may be purchased on the midway with cash or credit card- no checks will be accepted at the midway for armbands. We will not be selling armbands during onsite registration that morning. The rides on the midway will open at 12:00 noon. Lunches are not available for purchase through the state FFA office this year. Students can bring money to purchase lunch on the fairgrounds.  

 

All chapters who register for the middle school program will receive a fair entrance form and parking pass from the State FFA Office in late September. Log on to http://www.georgianationalfair.com for more information about other opportunities available during the Fair.
