Ag Teachers,

Did you know that National FFA gives away money for students to develop and/or grow their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program? It’s true, and the process is now open! This year 149 SAE grants will be given to FFA members across the nation. The type of SAE can range from animals (livestock, small animal, bees, etc…) to environmental science, horticulture, mechanics, etc….The possibilities are endless for students with the willingness to develop a plan and take action.

FFA members do not have to have already completed the SAE, but it’s OK if they have begun. The application is available to students interested in starting an SAE, who need the startup money. It’s also open to students who have begun an SAE, but need additional money to grown their program. The attached page discusses how to apply for the SAE grants. I hope that you will encourage your students to take advantage of this opportunity.
