Teachers, More than 700 State FFA Degree applications were turned in this year. State Degree applications are still being reviewed, but the cream has risen to the top! The finalists for the State Stars in all categories have been determined. The State Star finalists are attached and listed below. STAR IN AGRISCIENCE South Region - Courtney Cameron (Lowndes County) Central Region - Xavier LaTorre (Eagle's Landing) North Region - Doster Harper (Newton CCA) STAR IN AGRICULTURE PLACEMENT South Region - Garrett Harrell (Colquitt County) Central Region - Ethan Bragg (Screven County) North Region - Hayden Ariail (Franklin County) STAR IN AGRIBUSINESS South Region - Taylor Cross (Tift County) Central Region - Stormy Knight (Toombs County) North Region - Rhine Brady (White County) STAR FARMER South Region - Tyler Robinson (Colquitt County) Central Region - Eli Smallwood (Jasper County) North Region - Caleb Carr (Sonoraville) Advisors of Star Finalists will receive information from me very soon with details about scheduling the visit from the judging panel. Again this year a panel of judges will travel the state to interview each Star finalist at their SAE work site (home, farm, school, place of business, etc...) Finalist will also be visited by Mr. Branch Carter to get video footage of their SAE for the Star Finalist video that plays at the State Convention.
