Attached is information on a longleaf pine management field day coming up in Colquitt County on May 16.
Lunch will be provided. Please call the Colquitt County Extension Office (478-982-4408) to register and for a lunch count. This field day
is limited to the first 45 that register. CFE, CLE, and GA pesticide credits are applied for.
Other longleaf pine focused field days are in the works and will cover different approaches to growing and managing longleaf that are specific to that landowner
and region of Georgia. So stay tuned for more on these as they become available and when I am made aware of them, I’ll be sure to forward them on.
Thanks!

Subject: RE: 16 May 2017 Longleaf Field Day - with emphasis on old-field stem quality issues and
longleaf seedlings/quality/genetic improvement status
All,
Please distribute as you see fit the attached. I hope some of you can make it to this field day which will be very informative. We plan to have 1 more field day in Bartow Co in late May or early
June (having 1 in Jenkins Co on 11 April with managing longleaf for quail but that one is at full registration). We plan to have 3-4 more field days this fall around the state where longleaf grows.
