Teachers,

This past Thursday and Friday a team of agricultural education teachers and Area Teachers evaluated 104 National Chapter Award applications that were submitted this year. A complete set of results is attached to this email. Each Region has their own tab in the attached Excel spreadsheet. Chapters who completed Form II can see their average score and ranking (Gold, Silver, Bronze, Participant). A breakdown of each category is below. There were some applications that were turned in late and some that were turned in using the old application form. Those applications are not listed here because they were disqualified from the scoring process.

Gold: top 31 chapters eligible to be sent for National FFA judging based on 10% of the number of chapters in our Association
Silver: 251 - 337 points
Bronze: 100 - 250 points
Participant: less than 100 points

The top 31 chapters have earned a Gold ranking and will be forwarded on for national judging this summer. These 31 chapters will be recognized on stage at the State FFA Convention.

The highest scoring applications in each Area and the State were named Chapter Achievement winners. The 2017 Chapter Achievement winners are listed below.

Area 1 Winner - Cambridge
Area 2 Winner - West Jackson Middle
Area 3 Winner - Pike County
Area 4 Winner - Screven County
Area 5 Winner - NE Campus-Tift County
