Area Meats Evaluation CDE's for 2018 Registration is Live!
Registration: 4 PM Contest Starts: 4:30 PM
Area 2: Monday, October 1, East Jackson High School
Area 1: Tuesday, October 2, Cass High School
Senior Students: 25 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes, AND
Quality and Yield Grade Exercise
Students will have 1-3 ribeyes to Quality and Yield Grade using help sheets
Students will have the Quality Grading Help Sheet, and be given Maturity, KPH and Hot Carcass weight.
They will be required to know the Yield Grade Formula, the 5 Yield Grades, judge Marbling and Backfat.
Junior Students: 20 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes
Meats CDE TEAM consists of 3 members only. All three scores count.
T-shirts are available: Proof is attached. Cost: $12, Deadline for T-shirts is Wednesday, October 19
