The Georgia Green Industry Junior Certification Level I program consists of a written exam and plant identification test. The written test is based on the educational objectives of the Georgia Agriculture Education horticulture curriculum and features 50 multiple choice questions. To pass the written exam, a student must answer thirty-five questions correctly. The second portion of the certification is a plant identification section which includes both our FFA Nursery Landscape and Floriculture CDE plants and some of the disorders (weeds). Fifty plants (including weeds) will be displayed for students to identify. To pass the identification, a student must identify thirty-five plants correctly. (See attached plant ID list) AGAIN THIS YEAR Testing will take place on Friday! Also, there will be a breakout session designed specifically for ag teachers to be held while your students are testing! This will be a great opportunity to get relevant training from green industry leaders. *Date: January 25th, 2019Location:* *Infinite Energy Center (formally the Gwinnett Center), Duluth, GA* *DRAFT AGENDA* *GGIA Jr. Plant Professional Certification Agenda* 9-10am - Check In (Ballroom A) 10am - 12noon - Plant ID and Written Exam 10am - 12noon - Teacher Breakout Session 12-1pm - Lunch and Career Speakers, Top scores, group photo *TEACHER COP:* Teachers who attend the full conference day 9:30 -3:30 p.m. and have* prepared *students who participate in the Jr GGIA certification testing are eligible for one COP.
