The Georgia Junior National Livestock Show is fast approaching and we have made quite a few updates to our website that we would like to make you aware of.  We have provided links to each form but all information is also available from on the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show link on our website.

Georgia Junior National Premium Catalog Information:

Catalog Dedications:  The Georgia Junior National Premium Catalog is published annually to highlight the exhibitors and other participants of the Georgia Junior Livestock Program. Each issue is dedicated to an individual who has made statewide contributions (leadership, financial or outstanding service) toward the success of the youth program. Being selected for dedication is the highest honor given by the exhibitors, teachers, Agents, and Specialists involved in the Junior Livestock Program.  Please consider nominating someone who has made significant contributions to the Georgia Junior Livestock Program.  Please submit a Catalog Dedication Nomination form before January 4th.  A complete listing of those recognized are provided at the provided link.  Completed nomination forms must be received no later than January 4th.

Student Spotlights:  Each year, in the Georgia Jr. Livestock Catalog at the State Livestock Show in February, Georgia 4-H and FFA spotlight six (6) young people; one student each in the swine, beef, dairy, sheep, and goat species. Also, one student will be selected as an "All Around Exhibitor."  If you have a student whom you feel like truly defines all that is good about the junior livestock program, please nominate him or her for the Catalog Student Spotlight.

The committee is looking for students who have demonstrated hard work, fair play, character, and project growth. Catalog Spotlights nomination forms for FFA Members are due January 4th to Mr. Ben Lastly, 316 Poultry Science, UGA, Athens, GA 30602.  Please remember if you have completed a Student Spotlight for an individual in the past you will need to re-submit another completed application to be considered.

In order to provide the Georgia Junior National Livestock Catalog to exhibitors & families at no cost as well as provide the scholarships for the 11th & 12th grade showmanship winners, we depend on the support of advertisements.  These advertisements include businesses, organizations and supporters of the Georgia Youth Livestock Programs.  Please consider purchasing an ad or sharing our AD Request form with someone who may be interested in supporting the Georgia Junior Livestock program.  Ad requests are due January 4th.
