Area Meats Evaluation CDE's for 2019


Registration: 4 PM     Contest Starts:  4:30 PM


Area 4:  Toombs County High School Ag. Center - Tuesday, September 24th

Area 3:  Rutland High - Thursday, September 26th


Senior Students:  25 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes, AND

Quality and Yield Grade Exercise

     Students will have 1-3 ribeyes to Quality and Yield Grade using help sheets

     Students will have the Quality Grading Help Sheet, and be given Maturity, KPH and Hot Carcass weight.

     They will be required to know the Yield Grade Formula, the 5 Yield Grades, judge Marbling and Backfat. 


Junior Students:  20 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes


Meats CDE TEAM consists of 4 members.  All four scores count.


T-shirts are available:  Proof is attached.  Cost:  $10, Deadline for T-shirts is Wednesday, September 12th
