Area 1 & 2 Meats Evaluation CDE's for 2019 Registration is Live!
Registration: 4 PM Contest Starts: 4:30 PM
Area 2: Tuesday, September 24, Cass High School
Area 1: Thursday, September 26, East Jackson High School
Senior Students: 25 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes, AND
Quality and Yield Grade Exercise
Students will have 1-3 ribeyes to Quality and Yield Grade using help sheets
Students will have the Quality Grading Help Sheet, and be given Maturity, KPH and Hot Carcass weight.
They will be required to know the Yield Grade Formula, the 5 Yield Grades, judge Marbling and Backfat.
Junior Students: 20 ID cuts, 3 Placing Classes
Meats CDE TEAM consists of 4 members. All four scores count.
Meats Scan-tron example sheets are on the gaaged.org CDE Materials Page. Practice with your students filing them in properly.
T-shirts are available: Proof is attached. Cost: $12, Deadline for T-shirts is Wednesday, September 10th.
