The 2020 Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit is accepting applications for their
all-expense-paid program. Deadline to apply is March 6, 2020.
The Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Leadership Summit is a skill-development focused conference for
Native youth involved in, or interested in agriculture between the
ages of 18-24. This is a new age range from past years as the summit looks to intensify its curriculum and focus on older students.
This year’s summit will have four focus areas:
The summit takes place on the campus of the University of Arkansas July 7-14. All travel expenses and expenses while on site in Arkansas are paid for accepted applicants.
The National FFA Organization is a key partner with the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative and a supporter of this event.
Summit organizers know that ag teachers are often the best connection to students interested in agriculture. If you work with, or previously had in class
Native American, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian students that meet the age requirements, please share this all-expense paid opportunity with them.
Proof of tribal enrollment (ID card) is not required to apply.
