Yes, our Australian colleagues should know that the USA is
liability-crazy, and we like to protect ourselves. :-) :-)
All this said, what's the status of international nautical charts from
NGA? I know NGA's distribution policies have been a topic of
converstation recently. Our last shipping list (2004-2008-S) was stamped
received in October 2004, which also seems to be the latest on record at
the web sites where the shipping lists are archived. The USA is also
security-crazy and we are no doubt protecting our national security by
not distributing these charts to libraries.
