Apologies for the duplication.

The NACIS Program Committee invites you to participate in our 20th
anniversary meeting by presenting a paper, poster, or exhibit, or by
planning a session, panel discussion or workshop. All
cartographic-related topics are welcome.

Potential topics include:

• New media mapping–the Internet, online atlases & CD-ROM
• Visualization, animation & interactive mapping
• Map librarianship, digital archives & databases
• Commercial & free-lance cartography
• Cartographic education
• Geographic Information Science
• Federal & state agency cartography
• History of cartography

For Papers:
E-mail your 250-word abstract to program chair, Jeremy Crampton, by May
31. List names and affiliations of all authors, and include phone and
e-mail for the presenting author and specify equipment needs. We
encourage student participation.

DUE May 31, 2000
Participants will be notified by June 15, 2000 of acceptance of their
abstract.
Conference registration payment and forms will be due in September.

For Exhibits or Posters:
Contact Jeffrey McMichael at [log in to unmask] by August 31, 2000 to
reserve space and discuss your plans to display in the poster session.

Special Symposium: A symposium on Maps and the Internet, co-sponsored by
NACIS and the Maps & Internet Commission of the International
Cartographic Association will be take place from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm,
October 11, 2000 (prior to the opening session of the NACIS conference).
Details on registering for the symposium will be mailed with NACIS
conference registration materials in late July.
