A ‘Technical commentary’ has been kindly provided by Richard Pflederer FRGS, who has – amongst other things - previously compiled four invaluable and detailed listings of portolan charts and atlases in collections in Europe and USA [see, e.g., the ‘Imago Mundi Bibliography’ over a half-dozen years]. The hardback price is £58.00 (possibly not mentioned on the web-site). !
