The Forest Service has a good GIS page up at:
http://svinetfc4.fs.fed.us/clearinghouse/index.html
Some of the links for the raster base maps seem to be having trouble,
but there's a lot of good stuff there.
The BLM has some resources too, but you might have to look at each
administrative unit to find it. Some are better than others.
