Nominations to IFLA Standing Committees are due at IFLA HQ by end of
business on February 2, 2005.  Please nominate members to the Geography
and Map Libraries Section (Section #6) Standing Committee.  World-wide
representation is needed to further the interests of the geography and
map library community in the larger library world.

The first requirement is that the association or institution be a
member of IFLA.  Then that they have selected Section 6, Geography and
Map Libraries, as part of their profile.  The member organization must
then submit a nomination form with the name of their candidate.
Accompanying this form is a "Nomination Consent Form" from the
candidate, agreeing to the nomination.

It is essential that this be done very soon as the next nomination
period is in 2007.

Future meetings are Oslo 2005, Seoul 2006, Durban 2007, and Quebec
2008.
