The World Library and Information Congress meets in Quebec City this
August.  Please look at the IFLA website, www.ifla.org   for more
information on the meeting and other programs being held during the
Congress.  This is a convenient venue for North American librarians and
other information professionals.  The Congress is being held in Milan,
Italy next year and Brisbane, Australia in 2010.

FIELD TRIP

Arrangements have been made to visit the map collections at the Centre
d*archives de Québec (A branch of the Bibliothèque et Archives
nationales du Québec) and the Centre d*information géographique et
statistique (Centre Géo/Stat) de la Bibliothèque de l*Université
Laval.  Both are located on the Université Laval campus.  Time and date
not yet determined.
