Subject: Attention: 37th Biological Systems Simulation Conference -
Abstract due date Feb. 9!

Dear Colleague,

The 37th Biological Systems Simulation Conference will be held during
April 17-19, 2007, at the Holiday Inn located in College Park , Maryland,
USA. The Biological Systems Simulation Group (BSSG) brings together an
international group of scientists interested in using integrated systems
approaches to study agricultural and natural systems. The conference is
hosted by the USDA-ARS Crop Systems and Global Change Laboratory in
Beltsville, MD and will consist of 2½ days of oral and poster
presentations and software demonstrations.

The primary focus for this year’s conference is on addressing knowledge
gaps related to:

(i) Modeling root growth and uptake of water and nutrients and

(ii) Modeling plant responses to nutrient and water deficits

However, presentations on a broad range of topics related to the
simulation of biological systems are also welcome.

Abstract summaries are due February 9, 2007. For further information on
the meeting, please look at the attached electronic brochure and visit the
web site at http://www.ars.usda.gov/News//docs.htm?docid=14256
