Hello,
I have created a simple batch file that runs the CERES-Wheat model for a
single treatment fileX. The batch file is as follows:
         d:
         cd d:\dssat35\wheat
         d:\dssat35\MDRIV980.EXE MINPT980.EXE GECER980.EXE I A
         n
         exit

What I want to do is create a loop in Microsoft Access (VBA) that
iterates through each record in my database (each record corresponds to a
single experiment i.e., treatment), calling this batch file and running the
model for each record in the database. The batch file runs the model just
fine however, the command "n", which I thought should exit out of
CERES-Wheat is not read by the model and consequently the exit command is
not read by the dos prompt. So basically, I need a way to close out the
model after each iteration. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? I
thought there was a message a while back on the Listserver about someone
doing something like this but after the change in the DSSAT web site I can
not access all the old messages. Thank you in advance for any help you can
provide.
