Dear Dr.Dharam,
Kindest regards,
I give the meaning of Amplitude:In any oscillatory motion of a quantity
amplitude means the amount of displacement. This meaning is applied to the
motion of an air particle displaced by a sound wave.In case of a pendulam
the amplitude is half the length of the swing.Perhaps, temperature amplitude
means the average of diurnal variation ( mean of maximum temperature of the
day Plus minimum temperature of the day).
I further verify and come back to you.
Sincerely,
Dr.V.R.K.Murthy,Associate professor(Agronomy).ANGRAU,Hyderabad,A.P.India.
