Given below is a short ad for the position of an AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM MODELER
  in the Great Plains Systems Research unit of USDA-ARS, Fort Collins, USA.

INTERDISCIPLINARY:  PLANT PHYSIOLOGIST/SOIL SCIENTIST/RESEARCH HYDRAULIC
ENGINEER/ECOLOGIST/RESEARCH PHYSICAL SCIENTIST (BIO-PHYSICS)
GS-11/12/13

The Great Plains Systems Research Unit, Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a
permanent full-time scientist to serve as a cropping system modeler with
experience in one of the following disciplines: Plant Physiologist, Soil
Scientist, Research Physical Scientist (Bio-Physics), Research Hydraulic
Engineer or Ecologist. The incumbent=s research focuses on modeling water
stress effects on plant processes, including development of new concepts and
theories of the water stress response of field-scale cropping systems at
different growth stages and interactions with nutrients, climate, and other
factors, for the development of improved simulation models of these systems
under stress conditions.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and
