Dear All,

I am simulating peanut crop growth using DSAAT 3.5. 
I would like to know:

1.How DSSAT calculates root length density and root growth over the time in soil layers. 

2.DSSAT usually starts simulation at moisture content equivalent to Field capacity. If I want to start simulation at observed initial soil moisture content how should I do that.

Can someone help me.
