I can only provide information on config.sys and autoexec.bat under Windows
NT 4.0 as I have not run DSSAT3 under WinNT4.0. But I did ran component
model such as cropgro under it.
 
Look for file config.nt and autoexec.nt under the dir where your WinNT4.0
resides. These are the files where you make custom changes under NT. For
e.g. to get support for ansi.sys driver you need to make changes in file
config.nt. If you look under help (goto start->help) for ansi.sys it will
provide exact information on how to do it. I understand one has to do it to
run DSSAT or its component models. I did it to run cropgro.
 
Hope this solves atleast one problem.
