Hello everybody,

I know that some people on this list use the Nowlin Chair web site
(nowlin.css.msu.edu).  Last week a hacker broke in to the computer that
houses the site.  I've shut the computer down while I repair the damage to
the machine and install better security.  So the site will probably be down
until the middle of next week.

On a side note:  the notice for the Nowlin Chair Professor position has
been officially posted at:

www.iwr.msu.edu/Nowlin   (note that N in Nowlin is capitalized)

This is the chair that Dr. Ritchie held for his 16 years at Michigan State
University.
