POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW - CIVIL ENGINEERING

The Department of Civil Engineering at Colorado State University seeks a
postdoctoral candidate to participate in research
efforts in a joint cooperative project with the USDA Agriculture Research
Service (USDA-ARS). This position will
emphasize research to evaluate the USDA-ARS Root Zone Water Quality Model
(RZWQM) against field experimental data
in the Midwest and the Great Plains, and use the tested model to simulate
important management practices for different
soil-water-crop-climate conditions. The candidate is expected to participate
in an interdisciplinary environment and support
related research activities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Soil
Science, or similar discipline with
demonstrated knowledge of agricultural systems and models is required.
Hands-on experience with a modern agricultural
model is desired. Salary is negotiable. The initial term of the appointment
will be for one year, with the likely opportunity
for extension to two years depending on funding availability.
