Hello Octavio,
I would be glad to help you with the calibration but will be traveling from 18 March to 10 April. Anne Elings, who also works here with CERES Maize, might be able to help. Jorge Bolanos and Greg Edmeades will run a trial to calibrate highland maize cultivars this year. You might check with Greg to see if any of your cultivars are to be included.

For the record, I have given up on the genotype "calculator." The best approach is to edit the coefficients in the cultivar file.

Subject: maize genotypes

Dear list members
I am using the ceres-maize model for my research here in Mexico, and I have
problems to generate my own maize cultivars. I have been testing some of the
cultivars which come with the DSSATV3 programe, but they do not match with
our local maize cultivars, so I would like to know what is the normal
procedure to generate and test local cultivars (genotypes?). I have red
chapter 4 from book 3 of the manual, which is about genotype coefficient
calculator and it does not make much sense to me, I have the impression that
I am missing some steps. For example I do not know how to modify the
genotype coefficients to make it work as one of our local maize genotypes.
In other words, how do I know if I have to increase of decrease the
coefficients values to make them match my local genotypes. I hope someone
from the list could help me
Sincerely yours
