Dear mapsters,

Following is the obit for Roman from the Milwaukee Journal.
Note that memorial gifts might be sent to the AGS, an eminently worthy
place to remember Roman.

He taught map librarianship for years via the AGS/Columbia Library School
partnership. I was lucky enough to take his course, and to get to know him,
despite his work at that "other" map library in town. His enthusiasm and
love for the cartographic object was very evident, and I am thankful that
our paths were parallel for part of our journey.
