Dear Sir

I have submitted my Ph.D. thesis on "Efficient management of Irrigation Water for Potato in Sub-tropical Region". I have used DSSAT for calibration and validation of potato crop for four crop-seasons. Beside that I have compared ten most common ET estimation methods with the lysimeter measured ryegrass ET. Crop coefficients for potato crop in a sub-humid region were also developed [paper published in Agricultural Water Management. 50(1): 9-25]. DSSAT was also used for water balance studies. I am looking for a post-doc or any other suitable position in the relevant area. A few of the publications and papers accepted from the study are listed below:
Kashyap, P.S. and R.K.Panda (2001). Evaluation of evapotranspiration estimation methods and development of crop coefficients for potato crop in a sub-humid region. Agricultural water management. 50(1): 9-25.

Kashyap, P.S. and R. K. Panda (2001). Optimum utilization of surface irrigation water under deficit situations. for presentation in the International Conference on "Sustainable Development of Water in 21st Century" Central Board of Irrigation and Power, New Delhi. To be held at Singapore. Date to be announced later (accepted for presentation).

Kashyap, P.S. and R.K. Panda (2001). Effect of irrigation scheduling on profile soil water status and water use efficiency under scarcity conditions. International conference on "Advances in civil engineering" to be held at IIT, Kharagpur, India on January 3-5, 2002 (accepted for presentation).

With best regards

Pradeep
