Dear INSAM,DSSAT,AGROMET-LIST SERVE members,

Regards and wishes,

In the present day simulation models use of information on latitude and
longitude is becoming quite common to quantify the weather or climatic
effects on crops.My questions are:

1.Is Altitude also taken along with these climate determining factors of a
locality in any of the models?

2.Is there any valid research document/s to state that the pests and
diseases that occurred in a particular Latitude ,longitude and altitude
locality did also occur in another locality with similar or nearly similar
values of these climatic determinants?

Murthy.
