Michael;
1. By default, the model assumes 100% of product is harvested. You can change this default in the harvest section of the experiment file.
2. DSSAT does not yet have a quality or size gradation for peppers.

Cheryl

Subject: vegetable yields

Dear DSSAT community,

I am working on a vegetable model and i have the following questions regarding the harvested yield (HWAH code)

1) Does 100% of this yield goes to market? Specifically, for the area i am conducted the experiment farmers discard about 10% of their total yield if their targeted market is the fresh market. Should i reduce the yields i get from the model by 10%?

2) Again for the area i am examining 60% of the yield for peppers is Fancy and 40% U.S. No1, is there a way to distinguish among grades with DSSAT?

Thank you for the help,
have a great day
