Greetings,

I am learning the DSSAT program (v. 4.5) and I am interested in
incorporating daily soil moisture data into the models. From what I
understand, I can input soil moisture for various soil layers at the
start of the crop model, but afterwards, the model takes over and
adjusts the soil moisture each day. Is there a way I can have the crop
models consider daily soil moisture data that I provide?

I understand this may be complicated since I may have daily soil
moisture data for a field that originally has no crops planted. But once
theoretical crops are planted, the soil moisture would likely be
significantly different than the daily historical soil moisture data I
provide. I am curious though if anyone is aware of any similar research
done in this issue, or has any suggestions to provide.

Thank you all,
