Hello to DSSAT members. I am just quickly responding to a response by
Stephen R. Malone of RiceTec, Inc. regarding a query to the list
about the accuracy of GCM output as input for DSSAT simulations.
I do not have the source of the original query. Since Stephen Malone
suggested that one of the best sources of information on this
topic was Dr. Patrick Michaels, and he made this suggestion with
no caveats I feel obliged to just say that although Dr. Michaels
is a prolific author on the subject of greenhouse gas-induced global
warming, his principal perspective is as a critic of the
science behind global warming and the modeling tools used to do
this science. In my opinion, that supplementary information
is necessary when making the recommendation that was made. That is
all I wanted to say--just as a point of information. Thank you.

        Sincerely,
