The recent FAO publication "FAOCLIM2-World-wide agroclimatic database"
contains only MONTHLY data for about 28.000 stations. You can find monthly
averages (1961-90) and monthly time-series since the existence of the
station.

Otherwise, you can find on-line daily data for world-wide stations since
1994 from the FTP site of National Climatic Data Center of NOAA at
ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/globalsod/
