Hello,

As the CUAC Liaison with USGS, I contacted several people regarding the
USGS claims process, as several people have recently commented on the
fact that they were not getting any response to claims. If you are aware
of the situation with the USGS Libraries (many librarians took an early
buyout last year), the same thing happened in the publications area. As
a result, they only had one person who was familiar with the claims
process, and the claims fell behind.

Apparently the USGS has done some cross-training, so claims should be
catching up. If you are still one of those with an outstanding claim,
please let me know and I will  try and get more information for you.
