Dear Gerrit

Some of the DSSAT 4 users found a similar problem when we used the DSSAT ver 4. the yields are lower than that simualted with DSSAT ver 35, using the same genotype coefficients and same experiment X files and same soil file. (e.g. rice model)we write to the dssatlist server, but there is no response, and this problem was also not talked in the DSSAT documents. Do you have some solution?

Thank you very much

Best Regards

Xiong Wei

Ghaffari,

The current DSSAT V4.0. does not include a tool
to help you estimate the cultivar coefficients
for new varieties. Dr. Hunt and others are
currently in the process of developing a new
GenCalc tool for incorporation into DSSAT. We
expect it to be available later this year.

In the mean time, please follow the procedures
developed by Dr. Boote and outlined in DSSAT
v3.5, volume 4. An electronic version of this manual can be found under "Help."

Regards,

Gerrit
