*Intern – Map Inventory***

Time frame: ongoing starting Fall 2006

Schedule: part-time; exact days and times to be determined

Compensation: unpaid internship; intern will have Museum volunteer status

The Brooklyn Museum seeks an intern to inventory an extensive map
collection. Working under the supervision of the Print Department,
intern will record all relevant data about each map and enter the data
into a database.

Experience with researching maps and reading knowledge of foreign
languages (German, Italian, Latin). Computer input skills necessary.
Intern may have to visit other institutions to do research on select maps.
