Michael,
The code for any missing data in DSSAT 2.x or 3.x files is -99.
WeatherMan in DSSAT 3.x will interpret blanks or other non-numeric
data as missing and replace them with -99 and an appropriate flag
during the import process. With appropriate export and data fill
options, it will replace the flagged data with stochastically
generated data or running averages to provide complete yearly files.
You can specify DSSAT2 format during export for backwards
compatability. I certainly do recommend that you upgrade to DSSAT
3.4.
