The Golden Web Foundation in Cambridge is currently seeking a graduate to help compile an electronic world gazetteer of pre-modern place-names. Candidates will probably have a background in geography, history or library science, but must have a passion for historical geography and places. Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent research skills are essential. Experience of working with geodata and databases is an advantage. The post will attract a salary of between £20,000 and £24,000, depending on experience. The position will remain advertised until filled.
