Subject: Nancy Kandoian Wins Award

What a great way to begin the day, reading the announcement concerning Nancy
Kandoian wining the Bertha Franklin Feder award. Alice's excellent
announcement truly represents Nancy's superb professional career as well as
her generous and thoughful personal interactions with colleagues. It was
been my good fortunate to work with her at the professional association
level and know what Alice has written truly reflects Nancy's many
contributions. It seems that Nancy infrequently talks about her efforts or
touts her own accomplishments. Therefore, the award announcement is an
opportunity for people who have not met Nancy or interacted with her to
learn how much she has contributed to the Librarian profession as well as
New York Public Library.
Congratulations Nancy. It is wonderful to see you recognized. Thank you
Alice for sharing your well written award announcement
Helen
