hi,
i am involved with the water only, so am not familiar with the nitrogen in
the models. while, i checked the source code and found that
NO3(L) was defined as 'Nitrate in soil layer L ([N] / g[soil])'. g[soil]
means the weight of soil. Also from the source code, the soil weight is
derived from the soil layer thickness and the corresponding bulk density.
may it right and helpful to your question.
cheers.
