Aloha Carol,

Moving map cases and map collections have been the topic of past
photo-essays in the WAML Information Bulletin.

Here are ones that come to mind:

"Moving the University of Kansas Map Library", by Jennie Dienes, v.27,
no.1, Nov. 1995.

"Moving the Middlebury Map Collection", by Susan W. Tucker, v.32, no.1,
July 2000.

Additionally, searching the Maps-L Archives (word search: "moving map
cases", etc.) brings up a bunch of previous discussions.

If you (or anyone else) would like to document their map case moving
experiences for future inclusion in the WAML IB, please contact me.
It's always a topic of heavy interest and never taken lightly!

Good luck and happy moving! d:)

Aloha,
ross
