INVITATION
The International Symposium on Agricultural Information Technology -
ISIAIT will be held in Beijing Friendship Hotel, from December 1 to 5, 2000.
Beijing, the political and cultural heart of China, is a modern capital with an
ancient history. She is celebrated for her attractive natural surroundings,
historic sites and cultural monuments. With her numerous research institutes,
universities and colleges, Beijing is also the scientific center of China. On this
ISIAIT conference, the newest developments in Agricultural Information
Technology will be presented.
SUBJECTS
Agricultural expert systems - development platform of expert systems and
development & application of practical expert systems.
Agricultural decision support systems -- research and application of
agricultural models and simulation & solution techniques related to
agricultural production, operation & management.
Agricultural information systems, including development and application of
agricultural database system, information management system, and
agricultural information network techniques.
3S technology in precision agriculture, including GPS, RS, and GIS
techniques development and application in precision agriculture.
Application of intelligent information technology in agriculture, including
neural network, genetic algorithm, pattern recognition, knowledge discovery,
data mining, knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation and reasoning,
virtual agriculture, application of automatic & intelligent technology in
environment controlled agriculture, and multi-media technology.
Special report on the experience of intelligent information technology
improving the traditional agriculture, including agricultural technology
knowledge, transfer propagation, popularization models of agricultural
information technology.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Authors wishing to present a contribution at the ISIAIT Conference are
requested to submit a one page abstract. Detailed information will be
announcement on the 2nd Announcement which will be put on the conference
website. The official conference language will be English.
DEADLINES
*For submissions of the registration form and the title of the paper: July 1,
2000
*For submission of the detailed paper abstract: August 1, 2000
*The announcement for the admitted paper will be made on September 1,
2000.
*For submission of the whole paper: October 1, 2000
