This pertains to map (quadrangle) names only:
I'm not sure this is right, but my data shows:
"North of" - 44
"East of" - 72
"South of" - 50
"West of" - 92
"Northeast of" - 0
"Southeast of" - 1
"Southwest of" - 0
"Northwest of" - 0
There are tons of maps that have "NW", "SE"
etc on the end of the name, especially in AK.
