Subject: 30 meter Landfire data

Hi,
I have a faculty member who is interested in obtaining a national level
data set of the Rapid Assessment, Reference Fire Regime data. To
download the 30 meter landfire data through the National Map Initiative
involves mega effort and mega individual files. Are any of you
archiving this data? Is it available anywhere through a large ftp site
or on a state by state basis on dvd's?
Do many of you experience problems trying to obtain large datasets with
high levels of detail for the United States?
Is this an issue that needs to be addressed with the National Map
Initiative folks, or perhaps through CUAC?
With appreciation for your thoughts and assistance,
Janet Collins
